Government Documents and Maps includes U.S. government documents, legal resources, selected international documents, the Vermont Patent and Trademark Depository Library, and maps. The Bailey/Howe Library is a Federal Depository Library and receives approximately 90% of the material distributed by the U.S. Government Printing Office.
Documents published since 1976 are included in the Library Catalog. Please see staff for assistance with older items. Sheet maps are not listed in the Library Catalog.
The Vermont Patent & Trademark Depository Library (PTDL), designated by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (PTO) in November 1996, is free and open to the public. The PTDL is located in the Bailey/Howe Library Documents Collection.
The Bailey/Howe map collection is a USGS Earth Science Information Center (ESIC) state affiliate and provides state and local information about earth science products and services.
The collection also includes a wide range of spatial data resources, particularly Vermont orthophotography and satellite photography. Computers with GIS software are available.
