The Vermont AHEC program seeks to improve Vermont's public health by increasing access to health services by establishing educational partnerships with local communities and health professionals. Programs include educational opportunities for practitioners, consumers and students and the Champlain Valley AHEC's administration of the Ann & Frank Smallwood Health Education Center at the Community Health Center of Burlington, which assists patients, their families, and the general public in accessing quality health information.

Health information consumers may visit the Community Health Resource Center
to conduct their own online searches or call or email to request that a
search be conducted and the results mailed, e-mailed or faxed to them.

1971, with the unique concept of serving both the school district and
